Gradings Etc.

Vinyl is graded picture sleeve first then contents. The gradings are as follows:

MINT (M) The record is in brand new condition. The cover and any inserts etc. are in new condition.

Excellent (Ex) The record shows signs of having been played, but with only a minimal deterioration in sound quality. The cover and inserts etc. might show signs of slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG) The record has been played many times but there is no major deterioration in sound quality. There may be noticeable surface marks and an occassional light scratch. The cover and inserts show signs of normal wear and tear but have no major defects.

As a general rule I do not sell items which would be graded below Very Good in condition.

Gradings showing a "+" or "-" have a condition slightly better or worse than the main grading, but not enough to drop or raise a grading.

CDs are difficult to grade especially visually. Sometimes a CD that looks to be scratched or damaged may play perfectly, in other cases a perfect looking CD may prove to be faulty. The plastic CD cases can usually be easily replaced so therefore the gradings which would normally be for picture sleeves with vinyl are for booklets or card cases and digipacks which will wear the same as picture sleeves on vinyl. As a general rule CDs that play O.K. are graded as mint. I do not sell CDs in conditions below this.

Memorabilia is graded as the above with any defects being noted.
